[Catching a whiff of fresh pastries as he passed the door, Ion turned to look through a window for a moment before moving to enter. A snack sounded good right about then and he approached the counter.]

Good afternoon.

From:

[Sheena stopped wiping the counter and looked up at Ion with a large smile. Corrine remained where he was, taking in the new arrival calmly.]

Good afternoon to you. What can I get for you today?

From:

[Sheena had a kind smile, which Ion liked a lo. But he hadn't given too much thought to what he might want ye.]

May I have a moment to think?

From:

Sure.

[She continued wiping the counter as Corrine hopped down and approached the young man.]

He won't hurt you.

From:

[Ion wasn't worried and only smiled a Corrine politely. He wondered for a moment if he was as soft as he looked.]

From:

[Corrine solved that problem for him by nuzzling his head against Ion's arm.]

Seems he likes you. [A beat.] You go to the school, don't you?

From:

I'm glad. It looks like we'll get along.

[He was so cute. Ion smiled brightly and petted his head gently before nodding.]

Yes, Though I sometimes am late for class.

From:

Corrine's kind of picky about who he likes, but you don't have to worry about that.

[~~It took him a while to like Zelos.~~]

Late? Why?

[Without being asked, she set a cup of hot tea before Ion.]

From:

He is? Well, I suppose everyone has their preferences.

[Smiling at the tea, he took a sip before answering.]

I like to enjoy the weather and just to stop and think sometimes. I remember things and then I get distracted.

From:

[~~It's because of all the experimenting done on him.~~]

Animals have better instincts than humans. [Chuckles] I sometimes think he sits back after making a decision and waits for me to catch up.

[~~Like how long it took for her to figure out how she felt about Zelos.~~]

[She leaned in, still smiling, but concerned.]

That doesn't sound too bad, but what gets you so distracted?

I was reading about that recently.

[Ion smiles down at his new furry friend.]

It's a little strange, but sometimes I remember things that haven't happened here. Things that are apparently from another life. I think about that.

[He doesn't want to mention yet that it's not just him.]

From:

[Corrine looks up at Ion, also seeming to smile.]

Are you sure they're not just dreams? I mean, everyone has dreams where they're somewhere--or someone--else.

[She's had a few of those herself.]

I did think so at first. But they also always involve specific people, some of them from the school.

[Well, Luke was the easily appeased sort. He walked in, ~~and remembered his dining room in Baticul was much better than this~~ and was impressed by how nice the place was.

...Wait. He hadn't heard of Baticul before. Nah, best to push that stuff aside. He did have quite the imagination after all. He moved up to the counter with a grin and threw and elbow onto it to lean on.]

What's cooking good-looking?

[Though, as he was politely asked a number of times; he did need to stop flirting so much.]

[Sheena's eyebrow quirked at the familiar words. Words spoken to her by a red-head, but not this one. She looked down at her left hand...but her attention was immediately caught by the growl and tail-fluffing of Corrine.]

It's all right, Corrine. He doesn't mean any harm. [A pause and a smile.]

What can I get for you?

[ A relatively new face in this village -- or not. ]

Um...hello!

[ It was an afternoon after school, and a stroll along the street brought this blond girl to this particular place. She greets the interior of the building with a cheerful smile, walking towards the counter with a skip in her step.

And that's when she notices how familiar was the person behind the counter. ]

Oh...! Is that you, Sheena?

[Sheena's back is turned, so she doesn't see the blond as she enters, but the moment she speaks, the older woman recognizes her voice. She turns with a smile.]

Hello, Colette! Now, who else would it be?

[She's known Colette for a long time, but she can't remember how long, although, there was something about the way they met and shouldn't she be older....?]

From:

It's been a long time, Sheena! [ Smiles cheerfully. ] I was worried for a moment that I'm by myself in this place... I'm so happy that I found you!♪

[ She does notice Sheena looks a bit different from usual, too. But that's not the main issue. After a few moments, she saw the tail from something familiar. ]

C-Corrine...? I thought...

[ ...that Corrine died some time ago back in that Temple of Lightning? ]

[She looks at the girl a little oddly. Alone? There are a lot of people here, and always has been. ~~It's even bigger than Meltokio.~~ She blinked. There's no place like that here.

Maybe she had thought the building was empty when she came in....]

Nope. I'm here as usual. I'm not always easy to see, though. [Chuckles at her own short joke.]

Corrine? He's here as always, too.

[~~Alive and kicking thanks to someone's fast thinking.~~]

Well... I wasn't able find the others. Even if I've been here for a while and made some new friends, I missed all of you.

[ Tilts her head a little to the side curiously, wondering how long Sheena had been here too. And no, Colette isn't able to catch the joke.

Anyways, she takes a long look at Corrine and see just how...alive it is compared to the last time she saw it. But Sheena talked as if what happened back there didn't happen at all? ]

That's really nice! Um...Has Corrine been doing well?

[ Not exactly sure how to respond, but well it's great that Corrine's alive and all! Maybe she just remembered wrongly...or something. Those thoughts aside... ]

So um...you own this place? It smells really good~♪

From:

[As far as Sheena knows, she's been here her whole life, although she keeps having strange dreams--including one about Corrine being hurt then healed by a red-head.]

Thanks, Colette. Yes, I own the place. [She looks at Corrine.] Although, I think some people think I'm named Corrine.

[Laughs.]

He's been okay. Why? Did he do something he shouldn't have? [She looks at the small animal, who manages to look innocent.]

So, what can I get you?

From:

[ Giggles. ] They did? I guess I can understand why.

[ Looks over and smiles at fluffy little Corrine. ] Hehe, it'd be cute if Corrine was the one who owns the place~♪ Um...but it'll probably be difficult for him. [ Colette stop talking unnecessary nonsense. Anyways, she'll avoid talking about the whole Corrine getting...worse than simply injured. They're so happy together right now, she doesn't want to ruin the mood and stuff. ]

Umm... [ Unsure of what to decide on, she'll just ask ] Is there something that you'll recommend~? Oh! How about something with fruits?

From:

[Sheena smiles softly. She doesn't find Colette's talking unnecessary. In fact, she enjoys it. She laughs at the blond's comment.]

Oh, I don't know. He's good at supervising. [Cue smug look from Corrine. With subsequent petting from Sheena.]

Something with fruits? I have just the thing. [She proceeds to place a fork in front of the girl before setting a slice of Fruit Pastry Cake (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Q5SpTKazer0/S7_oDYQgmyI/AAAAAAAAGNg/fMkgDMJmffY/s640/fruit+pastry+cake+2a.JPG) and a glass of milk next to it.]

O-Oh, that looks really nice!

[ It's been quite a while since she had a cake. With fruits, too! And a cake from a store a dear friend runs? How could she not be excited to try it? ]

I'll try it~♪ Thank you very much, Sheena!

[ A cheerful bow in appreciation. Before carrying the stuff to the nearest table though, she takes out her little purse which has a doggy print pattern. ] How much is it? [ She assumes that she has to make the payment first, after all.]

[Laughs.]

You're welcome, Colette.

[Waves her hand in a dismissive gesture.]

Don't worry about paying for it. It's something new I made, and you get to be the first person to try it.

Eh..? R-Really!?

[ aaa getting it for free? She does want to help support by paying, but she'll feel kinda bad as well to turn this down. ]

[ Picking up the stuff, Colette walks over -fortunately without tripping- to the nearest table to the counter. ]

Mm...Over here would do just fine~

[ She doesn't have any worry despite the cake being something new that Sheena made. Well, because it's Sheena! It doesn't cross her mind at all.

Sitting down, she picks up the fork and makes her first spoon...er, fork-ful of the cake. ]

Really.

[She has to smile at Colette's reaction. It was adorable. As she watches her, she recalls a dream she had and realizes that she was the Colette in it. How could she not know?]

How's the cake?

[She's not going to mention the dream to her--or the fact she's used it as inspiration for her Halloween costume.]

From:

Mm! [ A happy nod. She swallows the current portion in her mouth. ] It's really good!♪

[ And nah, it's not simply because it's Sheena's; though maybe it played a part in making the cake all the more wonderful to her. But she really did enjoy it. It wasn't overly sweet, neither was the cake pastry overpowering the taste of the fruit.

When the cake officially makes its debut to public, Colette would definitely buy it!

After she's finished the slice of cake, she carefully places the fork on the plate. Drinks a few sips of the milk. ]

Oh, I hope that I'll be able to come here more often~!
